A 28-year-old man walking with Antonia is struggling for his life in the hospital after the shock of fear.
It was announced that Antonia died at the scene after the police were summoned at 03:35.
The 31-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of causing death while driving without care, was released as part of the investigation.
Dozens of bouquets, tributes and balloons were dropped at the collision point.
Police said he has since been released under investigation.
A spokesman confirmed that a file on Antonia’s death had been sent to the south Manchester Coroners’ Court.
Tributes have been paid to ‘beautiful’ and ‘genuine’ Antonia, who lived in Ashton.
She was remembered for having the ‘biggest smile,’ the Manchester Evening News reports.
Close friend Zoe Connor said: “My heart is absolutely breaking for you all. Antonia was the best big sister to my beautiful niece, she will be forever remembered and honoured by our family.
“Love and prayers to all of you, rest in peace darling girl.”
In a statement released through GMP, Antonia’s family said: “Antonia was a loving daughter, sister and granddaughter.
“She was a loyal friend and loved by many.
“She had a huge personality and lust for life and added sunshine to many lives.
“She will be missed and in our hearts forever – this world will be a little darker without her.”
Stacey Wilcox said: “We were close and I’m truly devastated. She will be missed by so many and I’m most definitely lucky to have known her.”
A large number of floral tributes and balloons have also been left at the scene of the horror crash on Manchester Road.
One friend wrote on Facebook: “Honestly one of the most beautiful and genuine souls I’ve ever met, always had time for everyone and forever had the biggest smile on her gorgeous face.\
“She will be so sorely missed by everyone that had the absolute pleasure of knowing her.
“Forever going to miss are crazy laugh n cry’s. Antonia my friend till we meet again.”
Another said: “This just doesn’t seem real and I just can’t get my head around it my lil cousin has become a beautiful angel.
“Miss Antonia St Louis I love you and I will miss you dearly. Sending big hugs to all the family and friends.”
Another pal wrote: “Lost for words! Utter and truly heart broken for my dear friend. And the hurt her family are going through.
“Antonia Caroline I love you till the end. Fly high my beautiful soul Scorpio sister.”
Police say their enquiries are still ongoing, and have urged anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.
