Gray, who played Hakeem Lyon on the Fox TV series, was detained at 7:00 am on Monday in his home in Goodyear, Arizona.
The incident started at 10:15 am when the police were called to a Circle K gas station in Goodyear to help a woman.

The passerby took the unnamed woman to Circle K and called 911, at which point the woman identified Gray as her husband.
The police said the woman had more than one visible injury on her body, causing Gray to strangle her at some point and temporarily lose consciousness. The woman was taken to the hospital, where she was treated and released due to injuries.
