Carli Nash is best known as the wife of Johnny Nash, best known in the United States for his 1972 hit “I Can See Clearly Now.” Primarily a reggae and pop singer, he was one of the first non-Jamaican artists to record reggae music in Kingston. Jonny Nash died of natural causes in his son, Houston, on Tuesday, at the age of 80. In the late 1990s, Nash told The Gleaner in Jamaica that he was “pleased with the people I had the chance to meet”. “And” a lifetime of work that I can be proud of is more important to me than the Grammy or any other “stuff of that nature.”
