Carol Lewis Husband Tony Lewis
Carol and Tony Lewis celebrated their wedding in 1985. Lewis was 27 years old at the time. At that time, the punk rock scene exploded in London, and Sirius B’s progressive music with John Spinks didn’t catch on. The group then broke up and Lewis got out on his own. He played in various local bands and clubs around London, often going into the microphone to get vocals.

In 2014, John Spinks died of liver cancer at the age of 60. His friendship and musical partnership meant a lot to Lewis, and his friend’s loss was devastating. After the death of his longtime collaborator, Lewis decided to take a break from music for two years.
His wife, Carol, encouraged him to start recording and return to what he truly loved doing. Music had always been a part of Lewis’ life and was where he went to relax. Lewis went back to his solo roots, reconsidered his early lyrical ideas, and played with a background piece. He eventually worked with his wife Carol, who he discovered had the ability to write lyrics.

Lewis and Carol collaborated on a new working group that embraces the spirit of Outfield while allowing Lewis’ own style to stand out. In October 2017, with the help and support of Protocol Entertainment’s Randy Sadd (who was a radio promoter for Outfield 2004-2011), Lewis met Tanner Hendon and signed a contract with Hendon’s record label, Madison Records.
A new album was released shortly after, called Out of the Darkness and it included the first single “Into the Light”. The single entered the Billboard charts. In the new album Lewis plays all the instruments and does and records everything on his own.
Lewis was survived by his 35-year-old wife Carol, daughters Gemma and Rosie, and three grandchildren.
