Family murderer Chris Watts, who is currently serving multiple life sentences for murdering his wife and daughters, reportedly made friends with another infamous murderer in prison. Watts reportedly met Jake Patterson when they were placed in neighboring cells, according to a new book called ‘Perfect Dad’. Patterson was arrested for two murders and one kidnapping after brutally attacking a family in October 2018.

Watts, a 33-year-old Colorado oil worker, murdered his 15-week pregnant wife Shanann, along with her two daughters aged three and four, on August 13, 2018. A public plea for their return was arrested for confessing to killing them. It was later discovered that Watts was having an affair with a colleague in the oil company. He dumped the bodies of his children in the two oil tankers he worked with. The bodies were found four days later. Shanann’s body was exhumed from a shallow grave near the tankers. Shanann reached out to a friend in the days before the murders and shared her concerns about her marriage. However, he never suspected that his life might be in danger.

Meanwhile, Patterson, who was dubbed the “embodiment of evil,” was strangers to the Closs family when he forcibly entered their home in Wisconsin. The killer killed the parents of 13-year-old Jayme Closs, James, and Denise and kidnapped the boy. He reportedly shot the father and broke a bathroom door where Denise was hiding with her daughter Jayme. Patterson shot the mother and led the teenager out. He held him for 88 days before finally escaping. The teenager wrote in a statement to the court: “I followed his routine and I regained my freedom. There is no doubt in my mind that he is one of the most dangerous men to walk on this planet.”

When Patterson was convicted, he spoke of his late family who survived and added: “They did their best to please and protect me. They took them from me forever. I felt safe in my house and I loved my room and all my belongings. He also took it. I don’t even want to see my belongings. “Jayme called the kidnapper” the embodiment of evil “because Patterson twice pleaded guilty to first-degree murder and kidnapping.

Reports state that Patterson wrote that she dreamed of kidnapping girls and killing their parents, but was afraid of going to hell. The crooked killer fulfilled his dream by killing the Closs family shortly after he gave up his faith. Reports indicate that Patterson appears to have reaffirmed religion and read the Bible with Watt. The couple, who lived in neighboring cells, reportedly spent hours “discussing” passages of the book.

Watts, now 35, is currently being held in a prison in Wisconsin and has a Bible and multiple family photographs in his cell. When Watts first admitted to killing Shanann, he initially attempted to accuse him of the murder of his wife’s children. However, he has since pleaded guilty to killing his daughters and wife. Watts was officially accused of first-degree murder, illegal termination of a pregnancy, and three interventions of a deceased human body. However, he later filed a criminal complaint in exchange for five life sentences without parole.
