The news went viral after civil rights lawyer Ben Crump tweeted a video of the incident along with a photo of Hall filled with a toy on Tuesday, February 2nd. “19-year-old Christian Hall needed HELP. On 12/30 he suffered a mental health crisis and @PAStatePolice was called in for help. Instead of helping Christian, lawmakers shot him deadly with their hands up. The video, recorded by passers-by, begins with the camera raising his hands and zooming in on Hall, who appears to be moving away from something invisible in the frame. “Did they just shoot?” someone asks from behind the camera. Five shots were fired before Hall collapsed and was no longer visible. “Oh my God! Oh my God!” Two people inside the car were heard yelling.
After Crump posted the tweet, many people used the hashtag #JusticeForChristian to express anger. “We can’t let this continue. We absolutely can’t! Police officers must be held responsible, or it will continue. # Justice ForChristian Needed help but was killed” said another, “WHERE IS THE CHRISTIAN HALL? KILLED BY OWN POLICE OFFICERS ????! !!! # justice christian. “Third,” TW: Police Violence, Death Not aggressive, hands in the air and they are still shooting him. Not surprisingly, the police ignored this whole post last summer. #JusticeForChristian ”
Another person commented, “YOU SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO HEAR #justiceforChristian.” Another said, “Almost because (police) didn’t want to deal with paperwork (incident reports) later, (police) almost started killing people. Then he said, “I can’t like it … I was disgusted beyond words … # justic forChristian.” One commentator tweeted, “#justiceforChristian said in a statement from the police that he had a firearm in his hand and was walking towards the police. It’s an obvious lie … Up until the moment he was shot he was seen with Christian hands !! Next quote,” Wow, it requires a lot more attention. . Once again the police lie in a statement about his behavior and that day …
