Cindy was at her mother Claire Palmer’s home at the time of the incident, according to officials. Palmer was in the hospital where he received Covid-19 treatment. A state police source told the publication that Cindy was asleep when she was fatally shot at her home on Dale Street. Inside, John, 59, was killed at the scene by shooting himself after he shot his wife. Sergeant Lampson explained that the attorney called his wife’s brother on Friday evening, December 25, and told him to take Palmer’s dogs, whom Cindy was looking after.

The detective added that John contacted his brother not long after the first speech, and the words “of the conversation caused serious concern”. The brother arrived at Palmer’s home around 6 pm and found both Cindy and John dead with a gun. There was no evidence that the couple had diverged from each other. Autopsies of the couple were carried out, but the medical doctor has yet to reveal any details.

John was a lawyer in his office in Suffield and previously worked as a family court lawyer for more than thirty years. His lawyer friend David Kelly shared with Hartford Courant that he was someone who “understands the law and how to apply it.” Kelly also adds, “Divorce business is brutal under the best of circumstances.” He also shared that the couple are amazing people and their deaths were a huge shock to anyone who knew them.

While John was a lawyer, Cindy owned Cindy’s Soap Cottage in East Windsor. She would make products such as handmade craft soaps, CBD topicals and tinctures, bath bombs, body luxuries and candles, among many other products. She had recently grown her business and started to produce hand disinfectants and face masks in the light of the coronavirus epidemic.

He had previously spoken to Windsor Locks Patch and said, “The last eight months have been very intense and stressful. I wanted to make sure my store was necessary when the pandemic started, so I recruited about 15 people to make masks. We worked in our queues to get them out quickly at a great price. We also sold over 8,000 bottles of hand sanitizer. “
