Cole Kershaw, 18, was hospitalized for life-threatening injuries following the conflict in Bury in Greater Manchester, but sadly died soon after.
An 18-year-old boxing prodigy was shot dead in the street in Bury.
Officers were called by the boxing gym for reports of a shooting at around 21.40 at locked Bury, where they discovered the young man known as ‘King Cole Kershaw’.

A murder investigation is now underway, though no arrests have yet been made. Police say his next of kin has been informed.
The boxing gym where Cole trained has led the tributes to the teenager.
In a post on Facebook on Thursday morning, Brick City Boxing Gym, in Bury, said: ‘Last night we lost one of our own, we are truly lost for words and we cannot comprehend why or how it has happened.
‘You weren’t just King Cole Kershaw you were part of the BrickCity family, always in with a cheeky smile and always gave 1000% effort and you were a true inspiration to watch.
‘Your Dad sat and watched every session and was unbelievably proud of you every time you trained.
‘Part of our BrickCity family has gone but you will never be forgotten.
‘Cole we know you will be boxing up in the stars so make sure you save a round for all of us.
‘Sending all our love to your family at this awful time.
‘RIP King Cole Kershaw you will be missed so so much.’
Cole’s friend, Kyle Hill, added: ‘He was a top top kid, had massive potential to make it far in boxing.
‘Always had a good laugh with him in school and the boxing gym, he truly was one of the good guys that you come across in life.’Several streets in the area were cordoned off Thursday morning with police guarding the scene.
A large police cordon covers a large Chesham Road area near Dawson Street and Clarence Park.
A witness said there were more than 10 police vehicles at the scene on Wednesday evening.
The police are now calling for information and say that there were many people in the area at the time of his shooting.
Chief Inspector Stuart Ellison said: ‘This incident sadly led to the death of a young man. I want to start by saying that our thoughts are with loved ones in this heartbreaking time and that specially trained officers do everything in their power to support them on this path.
Although we are in the early stages of our investigation, the officers conduct extensive investigations and follow a number of lines of investigation. We are determined to identify the person responsible for this murder and make sure that he faces justice.
So far we have found that there were a large number of people in the area at that time. We believe that these persons have vital information to assist us and I advise them to immediately forward them anonymously to the Greater Manchester Police or Crimestoppers. I would also recommend anyone who has information to contact us.
Finally, I want to give some reassurance by saying that we don’t believe this is a random attack right now.
However, in the coming days, extra officers will be patrolling the surrounding area so that anyone with concerns can speak to them directly. ‘
