Daniel Appleton Wiki – Daniel Appleton Biography
Daniel Appleton, 38, attacked his wife Amy and Sandra Seagrave during a “psychotic episode” three days before Christmas. A court murdered an elderly woman with a cane before taking LSD-style drugs and then killing his wife as well.
Hove Crown Court heard that Appleton expelled his wife Amy from their home and began attacking her on the driveway on December 22.
Daniel Appleton Attacked his wife
Sandra Seagrave, 76, saw what was happening and rushed to help her, using her cane. Despite being less than 1.5 meters tall, he bravely intervened, speaking to Appleton to protect Amy.
Prosecutors then say that “with the intention of murder,” Appleton turned his aggression into a vulnerable retiree and killed him with his own cane.
He then returned to his wife, a 32-year-old beloved teacher, and began killing him with a stick with him.
Appleton from Hazel Way in Crawley Down denies their murders and went to the pier at Hove Crown Court for a trial Monday.
At the time of filing the case, prosecutor Nicholas Corsellis QC Appleton, with no history of crime or violence, was experiencing a “psychotic episode”.
He told the jury: “But at this hearing, the key question for you is: is his mental state caused by illegal drug use or a temporary mental psychotic disorder for which the defendant is not guilty?”
He said samples of the defendant’s hair and nail clippings were tested and found traces of a psychoactive substance similar to LSD.
Mr. Corsellis added: “The accused admits that he was responsible, his actions led to the death of his wife and taking a route he had never met before.
“It’s not a matter of what it is or who does it, it’s a question of why and what it led to.”
