Donna Dinkins is best known as the daughter of David Dinkins and Joyce B. Dinkins, an American politician, lawyer and writer who served as the 106th Mayor of New York City from 1990 to 1993. Her mother died at her home in Manhattan on Sunday, October 11, 2020. He was 89 years old. On November 23, 2020, just one month after his wife’s death, Dinkins died at the age of 93 at his home in Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Donna has managed to keep a low profile and not much is known about her. On David Denkins’s 92nd Birthday, Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer hosted a party to celebrate Hon. David N. Dinkins. His father, David Dinkins, was an American politician, lawyer, and writer who served as the 106th Mayor of New York City from 1990 to 1993. He was the first and, to date, the only African-American to hold this post. Before he got into politics, Dinkins were among more than 20,000 Montford Point Marines.

His mother was best known as the wife of David N. Dinkins. Her role with grace and dignity as New York City’s first lady while promoting programs that promote literacy and education and protect against child abuse.

David Dinkins rose through the ranks of Harlem politics. He won a seat of Parliament, was appointed city clerk, served as Manhattan district president, and was elected mayor just as Ms. Dinkins retired as metropolitan affairs coordinator for the State Taxation and Finance Department.

“He is not a politician, he is a partner and a partner has a different role,” former Representative Charles B Rangel, who has been a friend of the Dinkins family for decades, said in 1990. In an interview with The Times, he explained his relationship with the mayor as follows: “I can’t say you want my advice; nor am I a consultant. I consider myself more of a supporter than a consultant. I give my opinion. I cannot say that you always accepted them. ”
