A former high school teacher Francis Reppert has been charged with secretly taking indecent photos of three students and posting them online.

Francis Reppert of Quakertown was arraigned Thursday on charges of indecent exposure and invasion of privacy. He was released on $500,000 unsecured bail. A message was left for Reppert on Friday seeking comment.

The complaint stemmed from an incident Oct. 1. According to an arrest affidavit, a female student at the high school received messages from a classmate who said he had videotaped Reppert holding an iPad beneath a desk as he faced the girl, apparently taking photos up her skirt.

He is the second Palisades teacher to be charged with sex-related crimes involving students in the past year. Christian H. Willman, 40, who taught at Palisades High School from 2011 until 2018, is scheduled to stand trial in Bucks County next week for allegedly using a social media app to send sexually explicit messages to a 10th grade Palisades student in 2017, then sexually assaulting the year later, court records say.

The charges come from an October 1 incident, when state police said Reppert, a math teacher and tennis coach at Palisades High School, was seen holding an iPad under a desk when faced with a girl, apparently taking Photos under her skirt. Another student saw what was happening and alerted the girl, according to an affidavit of arrest. Reppert then recognized the state police who used the iPad issued by the school to take the photos, according to the affidavit. State police said they confiscated Reppert’s devices and found photos of the girl, similar photos of two other girls and photos of Reppert exposing themselves at school, according to The (Allentown) Morning Call. Reppert, who has been with the district since 2016, was fired later.
