Police said Thursday that they received a report at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, raising concerns about the well-being of residents at an address in Higher Langham hamlet. Officers joined the detached property known as Moorhill, where they found the couple with severe stab wounds.
Sutton was reported dead at the scene, while his wife was taken to the Southmead hospital in Bristol, where he was in critical condition.
After the force was described by officers as a “quick investigation”, a Range Rover believed to be linked to the incident was spotted on the way to London and stopped in Hammersmith, west of the city where the suspect was arrested. .
The staff was “deeply saddened and devastated by the sudden death,” Baronet’s company, Sir Richard Sutton Limited, said.

DI Simon Huxter said: “Our thoughts are supported by the family of the man who sadly died at this extremely difficult time and by specially trained officials alongside the injured woman.
“We will do a thorough investigation to determine exactly what happened at the address at Higher Langham, and I would like to invite anyone who sees or hears anything suspicious in the area on Wednesday, 7 April 2021, to contact us.”
