James Dixon Arrested & Charge
According to The Chicago Tribune, the host of the party was reported to be concerned about Dixon getting his bare hands to dinner. Jackson therefore began escorting Dixon to the front door, but allegedly, the Walmart employee punched the old man, resting at a court on Monday, November 30th. The conflict continued on the front porch of the house, and Jackson, the last Dixon, State Attorney General Susie Bucaro told the judge in court. It was reported that Jackson requested that someone call 911. After hearing the commotion, a witness stepped onto the front porch and saw Dixon flee the scene and a severely injured Jackson kneel on the railing.
At the trial Monday, it was found that Jackson was fatally stabbed and received nine stab wounds to his face, head and left arm. The death of the 52-year-old boy was recognized as murder by the Cook County medical inspectorate. The court said that Dixon was arrested by the police about eight hours after the incident and had more than one knife, including one covered in blood.
Dixon’s lawyer, Patrick Ryan, told the court that his client had a valid defense claim and that he had injured himself by protecting himself from Jackson. However, the Assistant State Attorney denied the allegation and told the court that witnesses had claimed Dixon was aggressive towards Jackson. But court judge Ortiz said that prosecutors were unable to show the burden of proof to detain Dixon without bail. However, the judge showed Dixon’s serious criminal history, including his arson conviction. The bail amount was determined as 35,000 dollars.
Dixon, before being escorted away, asked the judge: “I was just asking, how much does the case carry.” To which she responded with: “First-degree murder from 20 to 60 years, sir.”
