Jay Snowden Video

A peaceful protest in a small Montana resort town turned ugly on Wednesday night when a visibly angry man confronted protesters, yelling at them as they were within inches of their faces. In a video shared on social media, a man is seen shouting profanity at a group of protesters supporting the Black Lives Matter in Whitefish, about 60 miles from the Canadian border.

Jay Snowden was caught on a haunting video using various expletives, snatches up protesters and yells at an apparent cleric before the police take him away. The crowd around him chants “Peaceful!” continuously throughout the almost 3 minute video. Initially, Snowden confronted two protesters and said: “F – k you! F – k you! “Black Lives Matter?” as in the video obtained by KRTV shows. The video has been shared more than 4,000 times and viewed hundreds of thousands of times.

Police Statement

Snowden was eventually removed from the scene by the police. Later, after police consulted with the Whitefish city attorney, he was charged with disorderly conduct, Whitefish police said in a statement posted on social media. Expected in court on June 17.

“The City of Whitefish is dedicated to protecting the First Amendment rights of individuals to peacefully protest and ask all who are involved to respect each other’s rights and protest peacefully,” police said.
