Jennifer Emmi Wiki – Jennifer Emmi Bio
Jennifer Emmi, a prominent animal rights lawyer and media personality in Colorado, was accused of trying to hire a hitman to murder her husband’s girlfriend in Jefferson County. According to a statement in the lawsuit received by CBS4, Emmi asked a man working on the Evergreen farm to “take care of” her husband’s girlfriend.
Emmi and her estranged husband were separated and filing for divorce. She said the couple was seeing a babysitter who was taking care of their children.
Jennifer Emmi Arrested
Emmi founded The Animal Law Center, set up a nonprofit farm in Evergreen to highlight the bond between humans and animals, and has been regularly interviewed by local media outlets about various animal cases.
She also hosted a regular show focusing on animals on Facebook.
A 33-page statement obtained by CBS4 in the case shows that Emmi’s life has been darkened in recent years, with numerous arrests related to her marriage and family matters.
The informant rancher went to Jefferson County officials late last year and told them that Emmi had recorded a phone call in which Emmi asked if he knew someone who could help him get rid of (his girlfriend). Nobody will miss him. ”
The man said that he and Emmi’s “hit” would cost $ 100,000.
“Jennifer said money was okay,” she said. He said he believed the animal rights lawyer was serious.
When investigators accessed Emmi’s computer, they say she was looking for “how to get rid of the other woman permanently”.
Emmi’s lawyer, Colin Bresee, told CBS4 Monday afternoon, “This is a very serious claim against Jennifer Emmi. The model looked like family and suddenly her husband traded her to a younger girl. He was angry. ”
“We won’t do anything,” Bresee told Emmi’s later government informant.
Bresee said she expected more evidence in the case before further commenting.
Emmi’s husband responded to CBS4’s request for comment as follows:
“This is a very sensitive issue and I ask people to respect the privacy of the family and children.”
Emmi is being held in the Jefferson County prison for $ 3 million cash-only bonds. Court records show that he will appear in court for a pre-trial on February 26.
The Animal Law Center attorney is a familiar face to many Coloradans because of the TV footage of animal rights and the regular animal show on Facebook.
She is reportedly divorcing after her husband leaves her for a caregiver who takes care of the couple’s children.
The Post said the rental murder arrest came after a six-month investigation by the sheriff’s office involving secret meetings, blackmail and extortion attempts.
According to the newspaper, Emmi had previously been charged with 16 serious crimes and 16 misdemeanors, including allegations of domestic violence.
Her husband told KCNC, who was asked to comment on the new arrest: “This is a very sensitive issue and I want people to respect the privacy of the family and children.”
Attorney Colin Bresee, who previously represented Emmi, did not see the evidence in the case, but asked questions about the tape recordings.
“It’s not uncommon for someone who has an affair with her husband’s au pair to be upset and angry,” she told The Post. “The line of how angry you are and how angry you are, and telling others that – it seems odd that one of them was a secret informant working with the police at the time.
Emmi is scheduled for a pre-hearing on February 26.
