The British TV star, whose real name is John Turner, is said to fight a rare cancer and died on 16 June at the Sobell House Hospice in Oxford. John’s agents Marham, Froggatt and Irwin told Oxford Mail that John has always “brought truth and integrity to their roles” and is an imposing, strong and solid figure with a spirit and belief in his craft.
Born in Wanstead, Essex, John began his acting career with small parts in BBC drama adaptations such as The Winter’s Tale and The Day of the Triffids.
