Joseph Costa Education
Costa graduated from Maryland Medical School in 1990. Since 1997, he has been specializing in critical care in Lung, and has been the Head of the Critical Care Division for the past 15 years. From 2010 to 2016, he has served as a civil servant in more than one position since 2010, including secretary / treasurer, vice president and head of healthcare staff.

Costa also chaired the Medical Ethics Committee and served as a member of the Mercy Health Service Board of Trustees Mission and Corporate Ethics Committee.
Baltimore Magazine in 2019 named Mr. Costa, one of Baltimore’s Best Doctors, a distinction made by the choice of thousands of doctors in the region.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, at least 576 health workers died from complications caused by COVID-19, which is probably low due to missing data.
