Jovanni J. Frausto, 19, was killed when shots rang out inside the Fox River Mall in Grand Chute around 3:30 p.m. Sunday, local authorities said.

On Monday, police were looking for a suspected teenager in a shopping mall in northern Wisconsin, where one person was killed and another injured.

Dezman Ellis, 17, was wanted after gun shots broke out around 15:30. Police officer Travis Waas said in a statement at the Fox River Mall in Grand Chute. Police said the victims were specifically targeted and Ellis should be seen as armed and dangerous.

A worker at a shopping center called Box Lunch told The Associated Press the scene was chaotic.

“People started running,” Haylie Mirr said. “We just locked the doors and we had four customers in the store, we brought them to our back room.”

Waas said in an email Monday that Ellis was “considered a suspect.”

In a statement made by the police, it was stated that 19-year-old Jovanni J. Frausto was shot dead. A second person who was shot also went to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was later released.

Photos from the scene were seen taking officers, some of them tactically equipped, on stage outside the mall, with customers’ hands in the air.

It was the second final mall shoot in Wisconsin. In November, eight people were injured in a clash following a clash at a shopping center in Wauwatosa, in the suburb of Milwaukee. A 15-year-old boy was arrested and charged.

Grand Chute is a town of about 22,000 inhabitants on the outskirts of Appleton, about 100 miles (161 kilometers) north of Milwaukee.
