Kylie Rae Harris was an American singer-songwriter from Wylie, Texas, United States. She was a featured artist on the nationally syndicated television documentary series Troubadour, TX.
At age twelve, Harris was enrolled in a vocal camp and began crafting her own songs and playing guitar. By the time she graduated from high school, Harris earned a music scholarship and a welding scholarship – but took neither and decided to press on with her musical career. She was one of the featured artists in Troubadour, TX, a television show documenting her rising career as a Texas country singer/songwriter.
On July 1, 2010, Harris released her debut album titled All the Right Reasons, followed by an EP in 2013 titled Taking It Back.
In 2013, Harris began working on material for a second full-length album and toured with fellow Troubadour, TX star Zane Williams throughout the state.
Harris died in a car accident on September 4, 2019, in New Mexico. She was 30 years old. She was survived by her six-year-old daughter Corbie.

Kylie died on September 4, 2019, in Taos, New Mexico in a three-vehicle crash on State Road 522 near Milepost 1. A 16-year-old was also killed in the accident while the third driver escaped injury. Her death was confirmed by her manager Alex Torrez in a statement on Billboard Magazine.
“We are heartbroken to confirm that Kylie Rae Harris passed away in a car accident last night. We have no further details to share and ask for privacy for her family at this time. Everyone that knew Kylie knew how much she loved her family and, beyond that, how much she loved music. The best tribute to her unmatched enthusiasm for both is to spread as much love as you can today, and listen to music that fully inspires you.”
In her last post on social media, she hinted that she was low on gas. She tweeted; “Fuel range is 46 miles and I’m 36 from the nearest gas station. Dear baby Jesus please don’t let me get stranded in NM”.
Taos News in New Mexico reports that deputies were called to the scene of the three-car crash, which occurred along State Road 522, at around 9 p.m. local time. The Taos News report does not name Harris as a victim in the crash.
A 16-year-old girl who was traveling in another vehicle was also pronounced dead at the scene. Another driver was uninjured. Investigators believe that alcohol was a factor in the crash. All three drivers were wearing their seatbelts at the time of the collision.
