Lauren Balsamo has been identified as an American woman who was caught on camera coughing up another woman who complained that she was not wearing a mask at the Bagel Coffee House in New York on Broadway and 30th Street in New York City. The video has gone viral on social media since it showed a confrontation between the two women.

Balsamo allegedly works in the healthcare industry and people are trying to get fired for their inexplicable behavior. She worked at Weill Cornell Medicine as an assistant research coordinator. Weill Cornell then released a statement stating that Balsamo was a former employee and that he had not worked for them since January 2020. They captioned: “Weill Cornell Medicine condemns the actions recently displayed by a former employee in a video circulating on social media. This person has not been a WCM employee since January of this year. ”

According to Ally Goodbaum, the person who posted the video on Facebook, the incident occurred at the Bagel Coffee House in New York. Goodbaum said he noticed a woman, identified as Lauren Balsamo, was coughing at the store and not wearing a mask. Goldbaum posted a short video on Facebook and has been shared and viewed over a million times. Words really cannot express my disappointment in humanity these days. I know there are bigger problems in the nation … The publication says the events started with an unmasked woman coughing. Goldbaum said: “He politely pointed this out to the woman who worked at the store and told her that the store should enforce the masks for customers to wear while inside the store.” Goldbaum said that Balsamo heard his request, then became upset and started yelling at him, before approaching and intentionally coughing several times. ” In the video, Balsamo was heard yelling at Goodbaum, “You’re a whore,” before walking to cough up on her. Later in the video, he says he has antibodies so he doesn’t have to wear a mask in public and tells Goodbaum to run his business. Balsamo’s social media accounts have since been removed.
