Mahmoud Mousavi Majd Wiki – Mahmoud Mousavi Majd Biography

Mahmoud Mousavi Majd, an Iranian man executed for allegedly spying for Mossad and the CIA. An Iranian, who was charged with spying on Iranian and Israeli intelligence, was executed on Monday, according to Iran’s official IRIB news agency.
The judge said that Mahmud Mousavi-Majd, who was arrested in 2018, was overseeing the former Revolutionary Guards commander, Qassem Soleimani, but the case was not due to the killing of Soleimani earlier this year.

On January 3, a US drone attack in Iraq killed Revolutionary Guards Jerusalem Force leader Soleimani.

Washington accused Soleimani of aggressive attacks by Iranian aligned militias against US forces in the region. The enforcement comes at a time when millions of Iranians applied to social media to protest the death penalties imposed on three men accused of participating in anti-government protests last November. On Sunday, Babak Paknia, a lawyer, said her executions were suspended. Rights activists said that the punishment of the three men is intended to frighten future protesters.

Eyewitnesses said the security forces sent tear gas to disperse demonstrators who organized protests against economic problems in southwestern Behbahan last Thursday and also sentenced the death penalty to three men.

Iran executed a former translator convicted of spying on his forces for the US and Israel on Monday.

Judge spokesperson Gholamhossein Esmaili spoke at a press conference earlier this month, saying Majd “spied in various security areas, especially where the armed forces and Jerusalem Force and martyred General Qasem Soleimani were and where they were.”
Esmaili said Majd was found guilty of receiving large sums of money from both the US Central Intelligence Service and Israel’s Mossad.

Soleimani headed the Jerusalem Force, the foreign operations arm of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards, and was killed in a US drone attack close to Baghdad airport in January.

Iran retaliated against US troops in Iraq by firing a volley ballistic missile, but US President Donald Trump chose to oppose military intervention.

Ain Al-Asad’s attack on the western Iraqi base did not leave any US soldiers dead, suffering dozens of brain traumas.

Majd migrated to Syria with his family in the 1970s and said that he worked as an English and Arabic language translator in a company.

When the war started, he chose to stay in the country while his family was leaving.

“His knowledge of Arabic and his familiarity with the geography of Syria brought him closer to Iranian military advisors, and he took responsibility in the groups placed in Idlib from Latakia.”
