Mohsen Fakhrizadeh Wiki – Mohsen Fakhrizadeh Bio

Fakhrizadeh is the most famous Iranian nuclear scientist and a senior officer of the distinguished Islamic Revolutionary Guards Union. It has long been mentioned by Western security sources in Iran’s nuclear program as extremely powerful and instrumental.

According to Israel’s secret documents obtained in 2018, he led the nuclear weapon creation program.

“Remember this name,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in the program, describing Fakhrizedeh as the chief scientist.

Mohsen Fakhrizadeh Mahabadi was an Iranian Revolutionary Guard officer and a physics teacher at Imam Hussein University in Tehran. He was born in 1957 in Kum, Iran. Fakhrizadeh was a senior scientist at the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics and a former director of the Physics Research Center, according to the UN Security Council (PHRC). Mohsen Fakhrizadeh Career

Fakhrizadeh was subject to the provisions of the UN Security Council’s asset freezing and travel declaration because the Council said the IAEA had requested that Fakhrizadeh be discussed and Iran refused to make him available.

Iran provided some information on Fakhrizadeh’s work, the IAEA says “not inconsistent with its findings”, but the IAEA continues to confirm its findings.

Fakhrizadeh was a senior scientist at the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics and a former director of the Physics Research Center, according to the UN designation (PHRC).

The IAEA asked it to question itself about PHRC’s activities, but refused to do so while he was president of the PHRC.

In a 2007 Iranian document leaked to The Sunday Times, Fakhrizadeh was named head of the Field for the Expansion of Advanced Technology (FEDAT), the cover name of the agency that runs Iran’s nuclear weapons program.

A four-year plan to build a uranium deuteride neutron initiator is set out in the paper, entitled Outlook for special neutron-related activities over the next 4 years.

In 2015, the New York Times compared him to physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, who led the Manhattan Project, which produced the first atomic weapons during World War II.

The physics professor Fakhrizadeh is said to lead the Amad Project, the so-called secret program established in 1989 to investigate the potential to build nuclear bombs. It closed in 2003, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The IAEA has long wanted to speak to it as part of its research on Iran’s nuclear program.

Suspicions that Iran was using the program as a cover to develop nuclear bombs prompted the EU, the United States and the UN to impose crippling sanctions in 2010.

In 2015, Iran reached an agreement with six powers – the US, Britain, France, China, Russia and Germany – to limit its nuclear activities in exchange for easing the sanctions.

Israel has long opposed the agreement, and US President Donald Trump left the agreement in May 2018. However, when Joe Biden took over the presidency in January, he pledged to re-establish relations with Iran.

Mohsen Fakhrizadeh Assassinated

Iran’s most senior nuclear scientist, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, was killed by the country’s defense ministry near the capital Tehran.

Fakhrizadeh died in hospital after an attack in Absard in Damavand county.

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif condemned the murder as “a state terror”.

Western intelligence agencies see Fakhrizadeh behind a secret Iranian nuclear weapons program.

“If Iran chooses to supply (enrich) weapons one day, Fakhrizadeh will be known as the father of the Iranian bomb,” a Western diplomat told Reuters news agency in 2014.

News of the murder comes amid new concerns about the increasing amount of enriched uranium Iran produces. Enriched uranium is a vital component for both civilian nuclear power generation and military nuclear weapons.

What happened to Mohsen Fakhrizadeh?

“Armed terrorists targeted a vehicle carrying Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, the head of the ministry’s research and innovation organization, the Iranian defense ministry said on Friday.

“Following the clash between terrorists and his bodyguards, Fakhrizadeh was seriously injured and hospitalized.

“Unfortunately, the medical team’s efforts to save him failed and he passed away minutes ago.”
In the Iranian press, it was reported that the attackers opened fire on the scientist in his car.

The Fars news agency previously reported a car explosion in the town of Absard, and witnesses reported that “between three and four people alleged to be terrorists had died”.
