Molly Everette Gibson Wiki – Molly Everette Gibson Biography
Miracles happen. Molly Everette Gibson may only be a month old, but she’s already made history. Molly was born in October 1992 from a frozen embryo, her mother, Tina Gibson, who is now 29 years old, was born in April 1991. With an 18-month gap between her proud 27-year-old mother and her – the old baby is now setting the record. “It’s hard to get your head around. But, as far as we’re concerned, Molly is our little miracle,” Tina told the NY Post from her home in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Tina, 36, and her husband Benjamin, now married for 10 years, went to the National Embryo Donation Center (NEDC) after trying naturally for their children for five years. Benjamin was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, which can cause infertility. The couple visited the center and presented profiles of approximately 300 donors who donated spare embryos after IVF treatment. “We were not selective,” said Tina, who worked as a primary school teacher. “We just wanted a baby,” he added.
“It is so rewarding for me to see a frozen embryo result in the birth of a cute baby years ago,” said Carol Sommerfelt, lab director of NEDC. “I am honored to be part of the process.” “It sounds crazy. No thanks, we’re not interested.” Then we kept thinking about it and couldn’t get it out of our minds, ”Tina said, remembering the possibility of conception with a donor embryo.
According to researchers at the University of Tennessee Preston Medical Library, the “miracle” girl will enter history books as the longest frozen embryo known to result in a live birth. Molly, who gave birth on October 26, broke the previous record held by her older sister Emma Wren. Emma spent 24 years (as in the embryo) on ice before handing it over in November 2017. Embryos are frozen together and complete genetic siblings. Both embryos were kept at NEDC before being transferred to Tina’s womb.
Molly was delivered in a weight of 6 pounds and 13 ounces, considered “important” in medical circles. Tina said: “It’s more incredible for us to have two precious little children we never thought we could have. We hold Molly this little baby and we feel blessed.”
Photographer Haleigh Crabtree shared beautiful photos of Molly on her Instagram page and said: “The Gibson family recently broke the world record for the SECOND time. What a wonderful feeling to catch this little portion of their story for them. Read the whole story and what world record they broke!” Molly was very young when she came to the studio and I LOVED to play with Emma (big sister). She was HILARIOU S. “See more pictures here.
