Police charge teenage boy, 17, with murder after a 50-year-old man was stabbed to death at a house in Salford

A teenager has been charged with murder after a 50-year-old man was found stabbed to death.
The victim died after suffering knife wounds at a house in Irlam, Salford, just after 3 pm on Friday.
He was taken to hospital but died from his injuries on Saturday evening.
A 17-year-old boy – who cannot be named for legal reasons – has been charged with murder.
Nancy Smith, 48, of Salford, has been charged with assisting an offender.
Both she and the teen suspect have been remanded in custody and will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
A police cordon was still in place today around the house where the man was discovered.
