Peter Mallory Wiki – Peter Mallory Biography

Despite his opposition to the District Prosecutor’s Herb Cranford, Peter Mallory, who was sentenced to 1,000 years in prison for having multiple child pornography in February 2013, was released on parole.

Mallory, the former owner of the LaGrange TV station WCAG-TV, was convicted in late 2012, including a child’s sexual exploitation, invasion of privacy and falsification of evidence. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Mallory was arrested in 2011 after watching 600 child pornography files connected to a computer in LaGrange.

Peter Mallory Released

According to a press release from Cranford’s office, Mallory did not allow the state to see the crimes or to impose a sentence without the court’s right to parole. Conditional release is a force used only by the state priest and the conditional release board.

Mallory was released on May 27, 2020. Cranford wrote to the parole on December 11, 2019 and asked Mallory not to be allowed to take parole.

“I respectfully write you to ask that you reconsider Peter Avery Mallory’s tentative parole date of Dec. 31, 2019. I sincerely believe Mallory is a threat to the public, has not sufficiently paid his debt to society, and I am opposed to his parole now or any time in the near future,” Cranford wrote. “I also think the Troup County community will be offended by his release after having served only seven years of his total sentence.”
