One of them asked Deskins to walk away and state that he was not wearing a mask.
A woman can be heard saying to her, ‘You’re on my face and don’t have a mask so you need to back off’. The man then deliberately takes a deep breath and exhales.
One of the women later said, ‘This attack’.
Virginia requires masks to be worn in certain locations to stop the spread of the coronavirus, but they do not need to be worn outside.
The debate took place on Saturday in front of the Trump National Golf Club, where the president is playing.
Protesters and fans meet regularly outside the club’s entrance while playing.
Deskin wore a Trump T-shirt and an inflatable pool tube with a Trump resemblance to his waist.
Kathy Beynette told News4 that she and another woman protested President Trump outside the club on Saturday.
Across the street, a group of Trump supporters was protesting against it.
Then, suddenly, the man came across the street and rushed across the street.
He just proceeded to assault us by taking a deep breath and doing a very powerful exhalation on both of us,’ Beynette said.
Several members of the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors sent a letter to law enforcement authorities Sunday asking for a full investigation.
The letter said the two women had been protesting the president outside the golf club.
‘We’re both senior citizens both close to 70 years old, which puts us in a high-risk category,’ Beynette said.
‘Because of this guy, my family has had to cancel the small Thanksgiving that we had planned with just a few people because I said I might’ve been exposed.’
Phyllis Randall, head of the Loudoun County Supervisory Board, wants a full police investigation into the incident:
Randall, Loudoun Co. “I demand that a full investigation be completed to determine whether the man seen coughing in the video broke any law, and if so, it applies,” Sheriff Mike Chapman wrote in a letter on Sunday.
“I would also like to ask because our voters will reach out to me and my colleagues in the Supervisory Board to get information on this matter, you are giving the Supervisors up-to-date information.”
The sheriff’s office said the debate was investigated at the scene, but it was not witnessed by law enforcement and could not capture the integrity of the video.
