The deal, Pooler was killed on I-16 outside of Savannah, in Ga., Where Pence spoke Friday afternoon. At the time of the accident, it is unclear whether the young assistant fulfilled his campaign duties.

Loeffler and Perdue face off against Democrat candidates Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff in a second round of elections on January 5th.

My heart hurts for his family, and Jeff and I will continue to surround them with love and prayer for the coming days. Harrison was a popular member of our campaign team. More importantly, Harrison was an intelligent, intelligent, loving, loyal and distinguished young man. ”

Loeffler said that Deal “embodied the best of this campaign – and the best of our state. We will live and honor Harrison’s memory forever, and I ask every Georgian to join us in prayer for his family at this difficult time.”

President Trump will visit the state on Saturday for an evening rally at Valdosta Regional Airport near the Florida border.
