Sierra Nichole Murdock is an Oregon woman accused of setting multiple fires in Southeast Portland early on the morning of October 18th.

According to Portland Fire and Rescue, the crews put out at least six fires between approximately 1:30 and 4:15 pm. Murdock was arrested on Southeast 147th Street and East Burnside Street, according to KGW-TV.

Sierra Murdock has been charged with first-degree arson twice to the Multnomah County Prison and may face further charges as the investigation continues.
Murdock was arrested in May, accused of setting fire to two cars in Southeast Portland.
Portland Fire & Rescue said his team was called to extinguish half a dozen fires that broke out around 2pm, 160th and several blocks from East Burnside.
No reports of injuries caused by fires were received.
According to Portland Fire & Rescue, there was a trash fire that extended to a car in a garage, another car ignited a block away, and other minor fires that included a mailbox and a newspaper stand.
Officers said they arrested Sierra Murdock for an unrelated crime on Southeast 147th Street and near Burnside. He was later accused of arson as a suspect in the fires that broke out overnight.

Authorities put out flames on multiple scenes in East Portland over a three-hour period on October 18. Portland Fire and Rescue explained in social media updates that the “cluster” of fires occurred within a “few block radius” of 160th Street and East Burnside.
Flames from the dumpster spread to a car garage on 156th Street and East Burnside. Fortunately that fire did not reach the connected apartment and nobody was injured.
At the same time, firefighters intervened in the fire of a separate car a street away. Portland Fire and Rescue said the crew also produced sparking flames on a newspaper stand and in a mailbox.
According to KGW-TV, authorities extinguished flames in one homeless camp, a second dumpster intervened in the fire and extinguished fires that threatened two other buildings. The TV channel reported that the police extinguished “two of the fire extinguishers they carried in their barbecue cars”.
Murdock was arrested near 147th Street. KATU-TV reported that he was detained for an “unrelated crime”, but investigators soon linked him to fires. KOIN-TV recorded videos of some fires and Murdock was at the scene when he was arrested; this video is embedded above and can also be seen here.

Portland Police arrested Murdock and reserved him to Multnomah County Prison just before 6pm on October 18, prisoner records show. Murdock’s trial was scheduled for 2:30 pm, according to online records from the Oregon Judicial Department. On October 19, in Judge Andrew M. Lavin’s courtroom. A lawyer for Murdock was not listed in this article.
Murdock was arrested on 8 May 2020 after being accused of setting the two cars on fire. Portland Police Bureau said Murdock was arrested near the crime scene. He was accused three times of second-degree arson, three times of “Illegal Entry to Motor Vehicles,” theft and harassment. Oregon Judicial Office records show that the charges were denied a few weeks later.
