Doug McDermott is an American professional basketball player for the Indiana Pacers of the National Basketball Association. While playing college basketball for Creighton University, he led the nation in scoring in the 2013-14 season and became the first team with three consensus to be All-American.

The couple met at Northern Iowa University, where Greg played basketball and got engaged in his final years.
McDermotts has three children together: two sons, Nick and Dough, and a daughter, Sydney. Theresa McDermott is a breast cancer survivor. He was first diagnosed in 2006 when Sydney was five years old. The charming lady and her husband shared their emotional journey with cancer in 2013 and visited breast cancer patients at Methodist Hospital.
Theresa’s husband announced during a press conference in 2010 that his family was a rock for him. She also thanked him for always being there after everything they were together, following every move Greg made, and supporting him in everything he wanted him to do throughout his coaching career.

Greg McDermott “inappropriate” choice of words
Creighton men’s basketball coach Greg McDermott had the word choice “inappropriate” after losing Xavier on Saturday.
McDermott, who has been the coach of Blue Jays since 2010, shared his post-match remarks on Twitter.

“Guys, we shouldn’t be separated,” he said. “Our both feet should go in. I need everybody to stay on the plantation. I can’t let anyone get out of the plantation. ”
The 56-year-old described the loss of the 77-69 road as “emotionally difficult” and called the team “fast”, writing that “he immediately noticed my terrible mistake.”
McDermott wrote, “I have never used this analogy and it is not an indication of who I am as a person or as a coach.” I am very sad. From our student athletes and staff and our President [Rev. Daniel] Hendrickson and Director of Athletics Bruce Rasmussen.
