Video of the incident posted on Reddit shows the Ranger standing on a wooden pier telling the group to disperse over inappropriate social distancing. He was then pushed from behind into the water by a 25-year-old boy, according to police. The ranger comes in, just like the guy … luckily, no one was hurt. The guy comes out and runs away, and the ranger follows him, clearly angry … as he should have been. You can also hear his friends nearby yelling “Brother!” in apparent shock.

The police say “Brandon’s intentional and reckless action could have caused the Ranger to strike his head on the dock as he was falling, and render himself unconscious in at least 3 feet of water where he could have drowned to death.”

His bond was set at $7,500.
