Helen Nightengale is a violinist best known for being the wife of Lynn Harrell, an American classical cellist. He died on Monday, April 27 at the age of 76. The cellist debuted at age 17 with the New York Philharmonic. Her father, the baritone Mack Harrell, had died two years before of cancer, and her mother died in a car accident shortly after her debut. He then joined the Cleveland Orchestra, and his solo career took off in the 1970s. Harrell was one of the most respected and prominent cellists of the 20th century and performed with many of the best orchestras and conductors, according to The Violin Channel.
