One such model, the Opanca was one of the most popular. After a couple of years, the first shoes bearing the Sergio Rossi signature were produced, marking the first official collection. According to Vogue, during the 1960s, the company, “quickly became synonymous with Italian quality and classic feminine designs.”

His son, who created his own shoe label in 2007, added, “He has always stood out for his class and his strong, charismatic, generous, courageous character: a natural leader, loved and respected at the same time by his collaborators, with whom, in the long journey of his life he created one big family.
