Zoe Buhler is a 28-year-old pregnant Victorian woman who was arrested on Saturday (September 6th) for allegedly organizing a protest event in violation of government coronavirus restrictions. According to video footage and a report, she was handcuffed and suspended in front of her children by police for planning an isolation protest online.

According to the Guardian, Zoe Buhler was arrested by police to incite her at her home near Melbourne after holding a “Freedom Day” protest on Facebook and calling people to come.
The distressed mom can be heard in a Facebook Live video to the officers, “I have no idea why you’re doing this.” My two kids are here. I have an ultrasound in an hour. I am happy to delete the post. ”
While a Victorian police officer handcuffed him, he insisted he was not breaking a law. He can be heard saying, “I don’t really understand what I am doing wrong. This is ridiculous.”
One of the officers said, “Actually you are – that’s why we’re arresting you.”
“Victoria Police is aware of a prohibited meeting scheduled for Ballarat on Saturday,” Victoria Police said in a statement, “Any such meeting clearly violates the Chief Paramedic’s instructions and puts Victoria’s lives at risk.”
Under the government’s Tier 3 restrictions for regional Victoria, people are allowed to gather outside with only one person from their home.
Residents in Melbourne Metro areas are locked up and if you are unable to work or study from home, they must stay at home unless you go shopping for food and essentials, medical care or nursing, exercise and permitted work.

Buhler is in a relationship with James Timmins. Her boyfriend offered to delete her Facebook post, saying, “How about not doing the event? Not like she didn’t do it, she made a post. It’s unclear how many people’s RSVPs were replied to the Ballarat event or other Victorian event planned for the Melbourne CBD, because the post of the event has since been removed.
